Folktales: the gingerbread man

An old woman was baking one day, and she made some gingerbread. She had some dough left over,so she made the shape of a little man. She made eyes for him, a nose and a smiling mouth all of currants, and placed more currants down his front to look like buttons.

Then she laid him on a baking tray and put him into the oven to bake.
After a little while, she heard something rattling at the oven door. She opened it and to her surprise out jumped the little gingerbread man she had made. She tried to catch him as he ran across the kitchen, but he slipped past her, calling as he ran:

Mother's Day Special

On Friday April 29 will be a very special day for our school. We will be celebrating together on Mother's Day !, so all moms and all families that wish to accompany are invited to spend an unforgettable evening at school.
Hinas children and have organized many activities and surprises with the intention to have a good time and enjoy an evening full of adventures with their loved ones.

The schedule will be the usual, ie from 15:00 to 16:50, and the meeting point of the participants will be the respective classroom each student.
It is important for organizational reasons, confirm attendance through the circulation to be distributed to each student, confirmation can be made until next April 27.

Visita de los alumnos de 4 de primaria al mercado de Pedro Garau

El pasado martes, los alumnos y alumnas de cuarto de primaria pasaron la mañana en el mercado de Pedro Garau.
El principal objetivo de la visita iba relacionado con el proyecto de inglés que están llevando a cabo, y es precisamente conocer los nombres de las diferentes frutas y verduras, y la mejor manera de hacerlo fue visitar el mercado.
Desde que llegaron al mercado, fueron divididos en cuatro grupos liderados por una profesora de inglés por grupo. Las profesoras guiaron a los alumnos por todo el recorrido mientras aprovechaban para enseñarles los diferentes alimentos repitiendo su respectivo nombre.

Por otro lado, esta visita sirvió para que los niños y niñas viviesen una experiencia nueva y se diesen cuenta de donde van a comprar sus familiares la fruta, la verdura, entre más tipos de alimentos; además de disfrutar de conocer  y visitar un lugar nuevo de la ciudad y de pasar una mañana diferente respecto el día a día en el colegio.

Excursión de los alumnos de segundo de primaria a la escuela de hostelería

 El pasado martes los alumnos de segundo de primaria disfrutaron de una tarde inolvidable ya que fueron a la universidad de las islas baleares, donde tuvieron la oportunidad de visitar la escuela de hostelería. Allí fueron recibidos por la coordinadora de lengua inglesa y tuvo la oportunidad de explicar  a los niños y niñas la importancia que tiene saber inglés y más concretamente en las islas baleares, además acompañó y presento todos los rincones de la escuela, y lo más interesante es que les enseño y les explicó el nombre en inglés de los distintos objetos y elementos que hay en una cocina de un restaurante, destacando los alimentos.

Desde aquí dar las gracias, a la universidad de las islas baleares por permitir que los niños se llevasen una gran alegría y que pasasen un gran día, además del gran vocabulario que aprendieron.

Los alumnos de cuarto de primaria disfrutaron de una obra de teatro

El miércoles se realizó una sesión muy especial del proyecto "what is it?" y se convirtió en una gran experiencia tanto para los alumnos, profesores e interpretes.

Los alumnos de cuarto de primaria, visitaron el pasado miércoles el salón de actos del colegio donde disfrutaron de una obra teatral en inglés adaptada a los niños y niñas, realizada por un grupo teatral formado por grandes profesionales del mundo teatral infantil.

 Los alumnos tuvieron la suerte de poder participar con los actores de manera dinámica durante el transcurso de la obra y  así les pusieron a prueba para demostrar los conocimientos adquiridos durante el curso.

En conclusión, esta visita fue una gran idea y una gran actividad para que los alumnos pudiesen utilizar el vocabulario aprendido durante las clases y el proyecto de inglés, y sobretodo que disfrutasen de aprender este idioma tan importante y que pasasen una tarde increíble en la escuela.
